Fischer (1895-1961) (full name Elfriede Eisler Pleuchot) was a German politician, who by 1924 was in the top leadership of the Communist Party. Since 1919 she had been a member of the German Communist Party (KPD) but, together with Arkadi Maslow, was ousted from the leadership in 1925 and detained by Stalin until 1926.
